The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) has launched a new £880,000 competition to fund innovative proposals that can help reduce cyber risk across defence
Cyber attacks are becoming more sophisticated, with potentially more impact on military operations. This themed competition seeks to support:
- novel tools that strengthen digital resilience across defence
- novel approaches that enable security by default
- novel ways to quantify Operational Technology risk
Up to five proposals will be selected with outputs expected to be at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 – this means technology model or prototype demonstration in a relevant environment.
The total possible funding available for this competition is £880,000 (excluding VAT). Additional funding for further phases to increase TRL may be available.
This competition is part of a broader suite of activities undertaken by the Cyber Resilience Programme that engages industry, academia, partners and allies, to build military capabilities with inherent resilience.
If you have a novel approach that could help reduce cyber risk across defence, read the full competition document and submit a proposal.
The competition closes midday on 31 October 2023.
A series of supporting events will take place to help potential applicants.
Taking place on 19 September (11am – midday), this dial-in session will provide further detail on the problem space and a chance to ask questions in an open forum. If you would like to participate, register on the Eventbrite page.
