Tourism Northern Ireland and The 148th Open organiser The R&A are delighted to offer an opportunity to grow your business with major foodservice operator, Sodexo to support golf’s oldest and most international golf Major – The 148th Open, at Royal Portrush in July 2019.
Sodexo is the second largest contract caterer in the UK with a presence in more than 2,400 locations across the public and private sectors including more than 38 units in Northern Ireland, including The National Stadium at Windsor Park, Belfast, which is part of Sodexo Prestige- the fine dining, conferences and events sector. Sodexo Prestige is also the appointed caterer for the celebrated 148th Open in Royal Portrush next year.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Sodexo is keen to meet Northern Irish companies with the potential to supply food and drink across ambient, chilled and frozen sectors. Suppliers must demonstrate that they:
have excellent quality products with provenance from Northern Ireland
are already familiar with foodservice
have the ability to offer consistent supply
are able to manage volumes and the changing demands of the market
Food suppliers that Sodexo is particularly interested in meeting include, but are not limited to:
- artisan bakery products
- desserts
- ice-cream
- meat and fish
- local charcuterie
- deli items
Sodexo is also interested in meeting Northern Ireland based non-food support services such as:
- steel store supply
- reefer fridge units (external)
- gas supply
- temporary bar design and provision
- linen supply
- kitchen equipment and CCG
- florists
- coffee machine supply
- uniform laundering
- staffing agencies
- sign writers/printers.
THE EVENT
Suitable companies are invited to apply for a 1:1 Meet the Buyer session with the Sodexo Category Management team. This will give you the chance to present your products and discuss how they may fit with Sodexo’s procurement needs.
The 1:1 will last a maximum of 15 minutes and you will be allocated a timeslot in advance. Please note, no samples should be brought along to these 1:1 sessions. Where appropriate follow up sampling meetings may take place and will be set up directly by Sodexo.
