Game Academy offers employers a free way to access a pre-screened pool of digitally skilled young people in Northern Ireland.
Participants have developed skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication, project management, data handling and digital technology. They may be suited to roles in areas including digital services, engineering, creative industries, customer support and quality assurance.
Business benefits
The programme can help businesses address skills shortages, reduce recruitment pressures and contribute to social value and inclusion goals. There is no cost to participate, and support may be available to help employers onboard and support new recruits.
How can employers get involved?
Employers can get involved by offering:
- jobs or work experience
- job-shadowing or mentoring
- business challenges and employer insight sessions
- site visits or other workplace activities
Getting started
Businesses can contact Game Academy to discuss how they could support the current Northern Ireland cohort. The service is free, and employers can choose an involvement that suits their organisation, such as offering jobs, work experience, mentoring, job shadowing, business challenges or site visits.
To get involved, contact David Barrie by emailing david@gameacademy.co.
