Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has called on the NIO to clarify the future of Go Succeed.
Under the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) funding for the business start-up support service ends in March 2026. The Spending Review announced that SPF will be replaced by the Local Growth Fund but detail has not been provided on how this Fund will operate.
Minister Archibald said: “Go Succeed has been a real success story, serving as an important catalyst for many entrepreneurs and small businesses across the north. It was widely expected that responsibility for the service would be devolved and my Department is ready to stand up a team to take this work forward. However, the Spending Review did not provide any detail on the future of Go Succeed and there appears to be a role for NIO. I am therefore calling on the NIO to clarify the future of the service which is so important to our economy.”
