Have your say on changes to domestic food legislation
The Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland is seeking stakeholders’ views on proposed amendments to NI domestic legislation to ensure it will continue to operate once the UK has left the EU. The legislation relates to:
- food and feed safety and hygiene (including the safety aspects of food standards i.e. food additives)
- food compositional standards
- labelling (including nutrition labelling)
A summary of responses to the consultation should be published within 3 months
Who should respond?
This consultation will be of particular interest to:
- food and animal feed businesses including, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers
- enforcement authorities
- health professionals
- consumer groups
- others with an interest in food and feed legislation
