ENNISKILLEN has received another jobs boost with the announcement that a software company that has an office in the town is creating 15 new jobs, with a number of these to be assigned to the Fermanagh town.
Anaeko is investing more than £1.5m to create the total of 15 jobs across its Enniskillen and Belfast offices, to help it grow international markets.
The company provides specialist IT ‘cloud’ integration services to global technology companies, with a focus on data optimisation and analytics. It delivers projects across a range of sectors, such as health and life sciences, government, media, finance and telecoms.
enis Murphy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Anaeko, said: “Over the last number of years we have steadily grown our business by focusing on the fastest-growing cloud technologies, and in 2017 opened a second office in Enniskillen to help us achieve our growth plans.
“We’re now looking to increase our sales in the UK public sector, particularly in central government and healthcare [sectors], and with US-based technology companies.
‘Moving quickly to recruit’
“To capitalise on these significant opportunities, we are moving quickly to recruit a highly-skilled and experienced workforce who will work across both of our Northern Ireland offices.
“We’re also carrying out business development activities in the US and Canada with assistance from the Department for International Trade and Invest Northern Ireland’s in-market teams, and we have a number of opportunities in the pipeline.
“Our new team will help us to deliver on these and secure new contracts by developing our services further for international markets and sectors,” he said.
Invest NI has offered Anaeko £97,500 of support towards the creation of the 15 jobs, and to market development activities.
Jobs on offer include developers, testers, bid management and technical pre-sales roles.
This follows previous support in 2016 for the creation of an initial 15 jobs, consultancy services, and in-market support that led to the company winning a multi-million pound contract with a major US cloud provider.
George McKinney, Director of Technology and Services, Invest NI, said: “Anaeko has ambitious growth plans and Invest NI has worked closely with the business for a number of years to help support these ambitions, particularly in exploring export markets.
“The 15 new jobs in Enniskillen and Belfast will grow the company’s expertise and capacity to help it capitalise on new market opportunities. These new jobs will include roles in software development, testing and sales.”
