The Department of Finance has launched a public consultation on business rates. This will run for eight weeks until 11th November and aims to gather views on the future direction of the business rating system within Northern Ireland.
The consultation is part of a review which will evaluate the current position and make recommendations as to how the business rates system can be effective and fair, while still ensuring that overall, the same amount of revenue is available.
